An increased price to performance ratio with a cost saving of 15% with Molygraph Smoothform 2900 TD

A major wheels manufacturer in India was looking at a cost effective
solution for their lubrication requirements in their wheel forming
process. They had been using a competitor product for the last 18 years
and required cost savings with similar or better performance.

With expertise in custom formulation, Molygraph specially developed a
product for this particular application. This was especially challenging as
the customer was using a heritage product since a long time and was
expecting a better price to performance ratio in a short span of time.

Premium grade heavy duty drawing oil

• Specifically formulated for tube drawing and pilgering application.
• Fortified with extreme pressure and anti-wear additives.
• Superb boundary lubrication performance during metal forming operations.

Trials were taken on a 500 ton press with aluminium sheet thickness between 2.3-6 mm. The drawing depth was 100 mm. Following was observed during the trials:

• Smooth formation of the parts without any surface defects.
• No skin irritation during long term usage of the product.
• No corrosion during long term storage, even during the monsoon season.
• Easy cleanability of the oil so as to not interfere with the subsequent painting process.
